A woman and his wife and son built a hunting camp on the mountain. The man and his son went hunting and met a woman who wanted to come back with them. The man said he would come back to her by himself the next day instead. All summer long the two met and finally moved in together. But when they did that the weather turned bad and all the animals disappeared. Soon their food ran out. The woman said she must leave him for then the sun would shine again. The next morning their baby was born. Taking the infant, the woman left and started hiking up the mountain. As she went up, the fog lifted and when she disappeared over the crest of the mountain, the sun came out again. The animals returned, and the men could hunt again. Told by Antone Evan; gathered and translated by Joan M. Tenenbaum.
