Woodcut Lithographic Reproduction
Print size: 18" x 24"
Image size: 13 ¾" x 20"
Originally owned, and later commissioned for reproduction, by Alaska Federal Savings and Loan, a bank which was later acquired by Northrim Bank. It was offered for free as part of a "suite" of other Alaskan-artist lithographs, for a $500 deposit to an account with the bank.
DeArmond had said "(it) was done from old engravings of that period combined with my own memories of Sitka. It shows Baranof's Castle and a small part of the town and the old Russian Church which was built much closer to the shore than the present site of the Cathedral."
